BYU Configurable Computing Laboratory Senior Project Ideas

With all of the FPGA based configurable computing boards in our lab, there are many oportunities for exciting and challanging senior projects. We welcome all interested students to visit the lab and discuss any ideas with lab members. The following list contains suggestions for such projects.

ECEN 325 Microprocessor Extensions
- Cache Interface
- DRAM Controller
- Superscalar
- Interrupt Controller and Interface
- Port a simple kernel O/S to the processor
- Provide Memory Management support
ISA or PCI Bus Monitor
Digital Oscilloscope
FPGA Board Level Tools
- Linux/Windows 95/Windows NT Device Driver Development
- VHDL Models
- Interface Software
